We partner with over 200 employment partners and universities across Australia, empowering the next generation of First Nations leaders through paid, multi-year internships.

Job Description

Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Partnerships Advisor to join our National Partnerships Team. This role is integral to the sustainable growth and success of the CareerTrackers program, working closely with stakeholders to cultivate and manage relationships across various sectors and industries. The Partnerships Advisor will ensure that our programs remain student-centered and that we continue to provide meaningful internship opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander university students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of partner companies across a variety of industries, creating internship opportunities that inspire and develop Blak excellence.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Student Advisors, Program Managers, and university and community partners, to support the growth of the CareerTrackers community.
  • Promote the CareerTrackers program and contribute to national program delivery standards, ensuring the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Engage in high-level First Nations stakeholder and community engagement, navigating cultural sensitivities and building strong, mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture, sharing knowledge and working together to achieve the organisation’s vision of a more equal Australia.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You: You are passionate about supporting and empowering First Nations young people to be the best that they can be, and have a strong ability to connect with and support stakeholders. You have a strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and communities. You are collaborative, trustworthy, and an excellent communicator, able to manage relationships at all levels and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong relationships within the First Nations community or the ability to build such relationships based on previous experiences.
  • Experience working with and for First Nations peoples in relevant sectors.
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree (relevant work experience if no Bachelor's degree).
  • Willingness to obtain a current Working with Children Check prior to commencement.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and facilitating skills and leadership development.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software to manage business relationships.
